Koshari

Koshari is one of the most delicious oriental foods that many Gulf countries love And the Arab countries, Koshary is one of the distinctive popular dishes whose ingredients are available in every Egyptian and Arab home, and there are conflicting sayings about its origin in the state of India, and it was prepared as a breakfast meal for them and it consisted of rice only, then several ingredients were added to it in the Arab countries.

 

 

 

Koshari ingredients and amounts

  • Two cups of brown or (black) lentils
  • Half a cup of spaghetti pasta
  • cup marmaria pasta (small pasta)
  • Three large onions, cut into two wings
  • Egyptian rice cup
  • lattice cup
  • a cup of oil
  • Cumin and salt

And to make Koshari sauce

Half a kilo of tomato juice A tablespoon of tomato paste One tablespoon of minced garlic Salt, cumin and dried coriander A quarter cup of vinegar A teaspoon of sugar

Steps to prepare Koshari dish

• We wash the rice, drain it and put it aside, put a pot of water on medium heat.•

 We put three tablespoons of oil, add the noodles, transfer it and continue to stir until it turns golden.•

 Add the boiled brown rice and lentils, to the noodles, and transfer them, adding the boiling water of the lentils in the appropriate amount.•

We leave the rice with vermicelli on a high heat, until it is absorbed, then we reduce the fire and leave it until it is cooked.•

 Soak the lentils one day before cooking, put a pot on a low heat, add a liter of water, to boil the lentils.•

 We put another pot on the fire, to boil the pasta, add the two types of pasta and leave them on the fire until they are boiled.• Add the lentils and pasta and leave them aside, each in a deep dish.•

 We keep the boiling water of the lentils and leave it aside

How to make koshari sauce

• We wash the tomatoes well, cut them into small pieces.• 

Cut the tomatoes, then put them in a blender and grind them finely.•

 Drain the tomatoes well, put a pot on the stove and add two tablespoons of oil.•

 Add the garlic and fry it until it becomes golden in color, add the fresh tomato juice.Finally, leave the sauce on the fire until it melts, then add salt and spices

How to prepare crispy onionsthe components

• Five large onions cut into thin slices.•

Five tablespoons of starch.•

 Five tablespoons of white flour.Two teaspoons of salt.•  

       frying oil.preparation•

 We put a deep frying pan on the fire, add a large amount of oil.•

 Put the flour and starch in a deep dish, add two tablespoons of salt.•

 Put an appropriate amount of onion in the flour, and sift it through a colander.•

 We put onions in the oil when it burns, and stir it constantly.•

 We remove it from the fire until it turns red on all sides.•

 Put the onion in a colander when it is removed from the oil to filter.•

 We put onions on kitchen paper, until used

How to prepare Koshari accuracy

the componentsTwo cups of lukewarm water.•

 a teaspoon of black pepper.•

 Three lemons.An empty bottle with a tight-fitting cap• 

Five tablespoons of crushed garlic.•

 One tablespoon of ground coriander.•

 a tablespoon of cumin.• a tablespoon of chili.•

 Half a cup of white vinegar.setting method•

 We bring the empty bottle and put the funnel in the mouth of the bottle.•

 Put salt, spices, vinegar, water, squeeze lemons.•

 Add the crushed garlic, close the bottle with a tight lid.•

 Shake the bottle until all ingredients are homogeneous.•

 Scoop the koshari in the serving dishes, then put the pasta.•

 Put the sauce and decorate with crispy onions, chickpeas.•

 Serve hot beside the dakkah, put a quantity of sauce.• 

Add an amount of chili according to your desire and stir, and serve next to Koshari.
