The First Few Hours

 A cat can become very scared when it is first introduced into a new environment. The first thing you need to do is to put your cat in a room and close the door until you and your new pets are brought together. Make sure that the windows are closed especially if you are high in an elevated apartment. If your cat is scared, you might try jumping from the nearest window. Open the cat carrier door and sit quietly nearby. Don't try to train your cat, just sit back and wait patiently. The new cat may stay in the carrier until night time. If they don't go out, put the food, water and cat pack nearby and leave them ready.

The First Few Day

  During the first few days, you may find that your cat is hiding a lot. This is why it is important that you have a warm and safe place until your cat disappears. Let the cat take the time he needs to find his feet and don't try to catch the cat. Seduce your cat by hiding with the toy and be patient with it. Spend as long as possible with your new cat.
